Here and There follows a young girl who moves to a new country, struggling with the confusion of settling in, missing her family, and the isolation of not understanding the language in a busy café. As she navigates the challenges of independence and belonging, her journey reveals that, even in difficult moments, we are never truly alone.

Inspired by Satoshi Kon's animation philosophy of linking distorted time and space, Here and There connects viewers to the main character using match-cut transitions to enhance emotional resonance. Character's emotional state is depicted through metaphor, exaggeration, fast pacing, and wobbly line techniques.

Colour Choice
Cool blue tones highlight the character’s solitude while living abroad, contrasting with the warm hues in moments shared with her mother, symbolising love and comfort. As the character returns to her lonely reality, the warmth fades, visually reinforcing the emotional shift.
