Ding Ding Tong

Ding Ding Tong is a hands-on game project designed to promote the 60s-70s Hong Kong candy and hawker culture. Players take on the role of hawkers, making and selling Ding Ding Tong. As they sell the candy, they break apart the hard candy dough using flat chisels. The sound of the process had eventually become the name of the candy. Try to make the candy and earn as much as you can!

Participants can pull the candy with an elastic band and break the dough with chisels. Developed in Unity, the game incorporates tangible gadgets and sensors connected to a Makey Makey board. The tangible setup provides a natural gaming experience.
